When I create an outfit, I first choose my skin and shape. Usually I default to a few that I like, and this one, below, is my favorite. The shape is called Prissy For ColdLogic Brown Dress Up for Slink created by my friend ναℓℓαяiє.
Once I pick out my shape, I decide on a skin. There are several skins that I love, but this one, Sue Gift-Cleavage-Bronze by Ana Smith (anasmith12) can be found at https://marketplace.secondlife.com/pt-BR/stores/116496 When I got it, it was free.
My next step is to pick the clothing I want to wear. I have lots of outfits, and most of them are free. But, I only pick up nice stuff that isn't leftover from 2008. I like mesh, and I use SLink. I do not use Lolas, Tangoes or Phatazz.
I picked up the mesh outfit below, Mesh_Tess Dress L white/black by MW Boa, https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/67299. The free gift includes the bracelets and the earrings.
I don't use purses or clutches in SL, but I do love jewelry. In this gift, there were nice earrings and bracelets. I added a necklace that I picked up for free at Ecco. Sadly, they have gone out of business.
Once I figure out jewelry, I look at my hair. I almost always wear blonde hair, but sometimes I wear black. I use mesh hair only.
Free hair is great, but sometimes free hair can really suck. So, be careful what you click on!
I look for hair sales, and the hair I love the most is made by Truth. It is currently on 99L sale! The hair pictured below is called "Carrie" and can be found at https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/13
Finally, I pick out shoes that match the look. In this case, I am wearing free glass slippers (BPd Tale of happily everafter SP Fairytale ending glass slipper) that I got at Beyond Persuasion found at https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/34749 They have a lot of great designs in their shop, too. You can find out more about them on Facebook, Flickr, or their Blog.
Oh, one last thing....I wear glasses that I bought in SL when I was a noobie way back in the day. They are my signature "Desi" item that ties together my love of education and my love of fashion. They are called "Book Worm Glasses 2" and were created by Ninja Petion.
